Train:  Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu) - Cusco
Bus:  Cusco - Sacred Valley Incas - Kmt 82 or 88// Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes
Trekking:  Inca trail (moderate) 4 days/ 3 nights to Machu Picchu, Rain Forest trails nearby Muyuna Lodge and Leticia (easy).
Canoe: Local visits and transportation around Muyuna Lodge, Leticia
Self-bailing rafts:  Urubamba River
Express Boat: From Iquitos to Leticia, 10 hours ride. Twenty passengers motor boat.

Day 01 HELSINKI - LIMA
Reception at Lima's airport and transfer to hotel Leon De Oro or similar. Lodging

Day 02 LIMA
Breakfast and full visit of this international and cosmopolitan city with entrance to the famous Larco Museum. Lodging

Day 03 LIMA - CUSCO
Breakfast and transfer to airport to take the flight to Cusco. Impressive view of the Andean mountains where we will spend our next seven days. Arriving at Cusco international airport, transfer to the Hotel Prisma or similar. In the Afternoon we visit the city and surrounding Inca ruins. Lodging.

Day 04 CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
Breakfast and departure by bus to the amazing Inca's Sacred Valley, visit of the Willoq ruins, lodging at a local Hostal.

Day 05 SACRED VALLEY - INCA TRAIL
Breakfast. In the morning we experience the rapids of the Urubamba River. For three hours we will enjoy class II, III and maybe IV rapids in the company of an experienced and professional River Rafting guide. Full equipment is provided. In the early afternoon we meet our team to challenge the well known Inca Trail. Lunch, visit of the interest points of this portion of the trail, dinner and Camping at Llactapata

Day 06: INCA TRAIL
Breakfast and continue the ascent trail through semi arid terrain with the company of the great Veronica Glacier (20.000 feet) on our right following the Cusichaca River. We cross-river Panpacahua, pass Huayllabamba and continue towards Llluchapampa (3.400 m.a.s.l) where we set up our campsite. Lunch and dinner.

Day 07: INCA TRAIL
Breakfast. Today we cross Warmiwanuska "dead woman pass" (4.200 m.a.s.l) visit Runkuracay and Sayacmarca. Cross the second and third pass. Camp at Phuyupatamarca (3.600 m.a.s.l.) "city above the clouds". This is a beautiful spot with spectacular views of snow-capped peaks. Lunch and Dinner.

Day 08: INCA TRAIL - MACHU PICCHU - AGUAS CALIENTES
Breakfast and last day of the Inca Trail. We start our hard descent towards Machu Picchu. It takes about two hours to Winaywayna and two to Intipunku "gate of the sun" where we catch the first glance of our destination Machu Picchu and then 45 minutes to the citadel. Guided visit if time allows it and  bus down to Aguas Calientes to   Hostal Presidente or similar.

Day 9 MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
Breakfast. Visit to Machu Picchu escorted by an experienced   guide (if the day before were not possible). Afternoon train back to Cusco and transfer to Hotel Prisma or   similar.

Day 10 CUSCO - LIMA - IQUITOS
Breakfast; transfer to airport to take our flight to Lima and connect with the flight to Iquitos. Reception at the airport, transfer to the harbor to take the boat to Muyuna Lodge. We ride the mighty Amazon river towards one of its tributaries, the Yanayacu, where the Lodge is located. Reception and briefing on the activities to pursue. Short walk in the surroundings of the Lodge and information about the flora and fauna of the place. In the late afternoon we go for a short piraña fishing trip and after dinner for a night incursion by the river in search of the black cayman.

Day 11 MUYUNA LODGE
Breakfast. Today we go to the Rio Tahuayo to observe the fauna and flora of the low Jungle. This is the habitat of different kind of monkeys and bears. Return to hotel for lunch. Afternoon visit to the lagoons nearby where tropical, ornamental fishes can be seen as well as pirañas. After dinner we visit again the Jungle, this time we focus on the night birds. Lodging.

Day 12 MUYUNA LODGE - IQUITOS
After breakfast and after a short bird watching walk we head towards San Juan de Yanayacu to have a look of the lifestyle in a typical Jungle village where people still preserves their ancient habits and rituals. A visit to the Moana lagoon to look for gray and pink dolphins ends our morning activities and we return to the hotel for lunch.
Afternoon return to Iquitos and transfer to the hotel.

Iquitos has a lively night-life with plenty of relaxing places to eat and have a chat with locals or if you rather go wild, the city holds places for you too.

Day 13 IQUITOS - LETICIA
Breakfast and early transfer to the harbor to take the express motor boat for a 10 hours ride on the Amazon towards Leticia. Lunch on board. In Leticia, transfer to our hotel.

Day 14 LETICIA - BOGOTA
Breakfast, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Bogota. Transfer to the hotel Tequendama or similar. Afternoon visit of this cosmopolitan and multicultural city.

Day 15  BOGOTA
Breakfast and full day visit to the typical villages of the Andes, Guatavita and Zipaquira (Salt Cathedral) In the evening we visit one typical place where  locals meet and visitors are very welcomed.

Day 16 BOGOTA - HELSINKI
Breakfast and transfer to Eldorado International airport to take the flight back to Helsinki.
